Celebrate the Byron Style
Our distillery is located in Tyagarah, New South Wales, a short distance north along the beach from Byron Bay. We are all about lovingly creating a product that celebrates the riches of our region, enjoying responsibly and contributing meaningfully back to our community.
We are not open to the public, but you can find our Byron Bees collection in the best cafes in town.
Hand crafted small batches with the finest ingredients
We carefully distill in small batches. This allows us to control the quality of the spirit produced in a way that large distillers cannot do.
Botanicals are carefully selected and prepared for each batch and our master Distiller, Luca Bolzoni, lovingly blends the distillates with fresh honey to create Byron Bees, a unique drink encapsulating the riches of our region.

Luca and Marshal united in their quest to create innovative beverages using local, natural botanicals and producing a product that is true to the spirit of Byron Bay.

Born out of a Bee Hive Factory
Our hives are in the hills overlooking Byron Bay, at a place the Aboriginals called Tyagarah. One can feel the deep earth energies of this place, a sacred healing ground for over 20,000 years. Our deep connection with this fertile land and the love of our amazing honey bees has inspired us to create Byron Bees.
Our story starts on a cold and wintry evening in the hills of Byron Bay.
Luca and Marshal work at the Flow Hive Factory in Byron Bay. Late one night while working in the factory, Marshal had a cold, and had read that honey was good for a sore throat. The Eureka moment came when fresh honey from their hives was combined with some fine spirits. Byron Bees was born.
Luca and Marshal are united in their quest to create innovative beverages using local, natural botanicals and producing a product that is true to the spirit of Byron Bay.
